How becoming a mother alienated me

When I was first married...

Everyone: "Brea! Have a baby!"

While I was pregnant...

Everyone: "This is great! You're baby is going to be so awesome!"

While I had a newborn...

Everyone: "C is sooo cute! Can I come over and see him?!"

Now that I have a toddler...

Everyone: ::crickets::

OR (also my personal favorite)

Everyone: "C is on a strict schedule which doesn't allow his parents to do anything or go anywhere EVER."

He's not.
